J'Adore
After four days off the grid at The Unique Camp (located up at Camp Whittle in Big Bear, California) I'm feeling refreshed and ready to wake up and fight for for all my big, crazy dreams and ideas. I met so many talented and inspiring entrepreneurs and spent some time really focusing on my goals for the next week, month, year, and beyond. It was great to be in a group where the focus was on community and collaboration versus competition. There is so much strength in numbers.
Here is what I'm loving this week!
Soma water filters and Carafe. Move over Brita; someone has finally made a chic and beautiful way to filter water at home. The design of the stunning glass carafe is science beaker meets wine decanter which makes it pretty enough to place out on your dining room table even when you are entertaining guests.
For my husband's birthday I got him the cocktail salt trio from Jacobsen Salt Co and we are obsessed with it! One tin is filled with pure mineral salt (this was something that needed to happen in our household so that my sweet husband would stop jamming his margarita glasses in my well of cooking salt!) and then you get one tin of bloody mary salt (with notes of lemon, black pepper, and smoke) and a third tin of citrus and spice salt (orange, cinnamon, and clove).
Two words: Quin Candy. I was lucky enough to meet Jami Curl, the founder of Quin Candy while I was away at Camp. Her sweets are pure magic! Just the level of ingredients she uses sets her apart from the rest. From her maple and cracked black pepper caramels to her blackberry lollipops (with the seeds still in 'em!) to her smoked cola gum drops, you can do no wrong. The highlight of my camp experience was when she snuck a few of her Tropical Breeze Dreams come Chew candies into my pocket. With flavors like fruit punch, watermelon + lime, and pineapple + coconut, my mind was blown. Fast Company just named Jami one of the 100 most creative people in business in 2014. Yup, she's a pretty big deal. Her candy is serious business folks.
