Yesterday was surreal. It's not everyday that your wedding appears in the bible of wedding magazines, Martha Stewart Weddings. I'm still pinching myself every five minutes or so. I open the magazine a couple of times a day just to make sure it's still there; a flush of relief as I discover each time that it's still intact,  all ten pages of our magical day.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for all of our friends and family who made our wedding the most sacred of adventures, especially my twin sister, Boo, for her steadfast resolve and creative genius. She dove in head first with me and treated the planning process and wedding as if it were her own - it was an incredible gift creating Camp Hendrix with her. My sweet husband kept us hydrated and reminded us to shower as the hours and days blurred together in the months leading up to the wedding and it felt like we were working around the clock covered head to toe in paint, wood stain, glue, and spray adhesive.

None of this would have been possible without my incredible parents. You're my #1, Pops.  Love you, Mom. I don't know how I would have navigated my way through all the paperwork and contracts and insurance that come with planning such an event without my dad by my side. He kept everything anchored (and paid for!) from start to finish. So solid.

Then there was our closest friends and family who all pitched in and got their hands dirty with us. You know who you are. THANK YOU. We couldn't have done it without you. From set-up to breakdown the morning after - there were some true heroes that emerged in the group. So many of our loved ones contributed in huge ways to the wedding- those are the wedding gifts that we will forever cherish and hold most dear.

And finally, all of our AHHMAZING vendors and the team from Martha Stewart. If there is one bit of advice I can give to future brides or event coordinators, it's to always pick people to work with that are overwhelmingly passionate about their craft - from our caterers to our stunning florist to the videographer, and photographer. When you choose to work with people that truly love what they do - you don't have to micromanage them because they are just as excited as you when it comes to the vision for your big day.
