Toulouse Petit Kitchen and Lounge

One of the most magical places I have been to in the whole of Seattle. Nestled on a corner in Queen Anne you will find Toulouse Petit. New Orleans' French Quarter meets Parisian Countryside. Dim lights. Suede Booths. Textural design overload. The menu is lusty and innovative. CNBC named them one of the top ten Happy Hour's in the nation. You heard me right...top ten in the nation. They have over 75 dishes on their happy hour menu that all range between $4 and $8 in price. Unreal.  Impeccable execution of every dish we ordered. It takes a lot to amaze me and they truly amazed me.

We started off with Big Easy Margaritas - Lunazul Reposado, triple sec, lemon, and grapefruit juice. Next we ordered a plethora of food including Crispy Fried Pork Cheeks Confit, "Barbecued" Shrimp New Orleans, Classic Mussels a la Mariniere, Fried Oysters with Two Remoulades, and Tombo Tuna Tartare with a Horseradish-Truffle Vinaigrette. Everything was fantastic. The tuna tartare was out-of-this-world. It was topped with a quail egg yolk and the horseradish-truffle vinaigrette was so perfect. I assumed that all of the dishes would be "bite-sized" because of the pricing but they weren't. The food came out fast and the plates were visually seductive. Loved it all.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

Unless you plan to arrive right when they open I suggest you make a reservation.

Trust me on this one.
