"Fresh" Idea

Chef Robert Del Grande of renowned Cafe Annie (Houston, TX) swears by a trick his grandmother taught him :

"I saw her do this when I was a kid. She would tie fresh herbs to a brush and baste chicken on the grill with it. Some things just stick in your mind."

Thank goodness for grandmothers!

I have memories of sitting at The Beach Club in Santa Monica with my Grammy when I was little...she always ate a salad with a scoop of tuna on top and I always ate a grilled cheese with fries

She would let me dip my french fries in her 1000 island dressing...

She knew long before most that I was destined to be a foodie.
