Handblown Nest Jar Bell

Sarah Simmsthings

These hand blown next bell jars (Williams-Sonoma, starting at $49.95) are the perfect accent for any kitchen table or counter top. They seem whimsical but not cheesy which is sometimes the case when people try to decorate for spring or Easter. They come in three sizes, ranging from small to tall (6 3/4" -15 3/4" tall) and they are being exclusively sold on the Internet and in the catalog only.

Inside the jar bell there is a hand-crafted nest set in an artful arrangement of butterflies, natural, and faux twigs, flowers, and greenery. The nests have hand-painted faux eggs and downy feathers inside of them as well.

Fancy Idea: If you are feeling the creative vibes you can buy empty bell-shaped glass covers and create your own decorative pieces. English Creek Gardens is a great resource for all types of glass covers and containers. I personally like putting preserved moss (reindeer moss is my favorite) under them; it adds a bit of earthy wonder to any kitchen or dining room and comes in a variety of colors ranging from grey to dark green. Extra Tip: Save-on-Crafts has a ton of artificial and natural mosses to choose from at rather friendly prices..
