Project Breakfast PDX

A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to take Project Breakfast on the road to Portland for two back-to-back days of events. Both evenings were held within the magical walls of the Quin Candy Factory thanks to the hostess with the mostess, Jami Curl.

 We converted the factory into a pop-up dining space complete with a cozy seating area and the most stunning communal dinner table made possible by our new friends over at Classic Vintage Rentals. Wine was provided by the generous folks at Union Wine Company. Design and project by Wylie West Creative. 

The first dinner was open to anyone that bought a ticket and the second dinner was specially curated for a group of Lululemon managers that flew in from all over the country. Both evenings were packed with such wonderful groups of inspirational women. A truly memorable trip!

 The "project" segment of our Portland tour was a hand embroidery lesson that focused on One Little Word. We asked attendees to pick a word. A word to focus on in 2015. 

A word that represents a goal or intended triumph.

 A word that signifies an arrival point.

 Or a departure point. 

A word that serves you and the road you've traveled or the road that lies ahead. 

Any word. As long as it means something to you.

 Then they embroidered that word onto a piece of material that was the perfect size to slip into a laptop bag, hide in the top drawer of their office desk, or hang by their bathroom mirror. We asked them to put the word in a place where they would see it so they could remind themselves of their one little word when they needed it the most.
