Deck Towels

When my gal pal, Lydia, mentioned that one of her brothers made linen towels, I was intrigued, as clearly, talent runs in their family; Lydia is a chef with a successful food blog. Her brother, Wyatt, creates welded metal masterpieces,  and then there is her other brother, Bob, a woodwork genius who makes beautiful pieces from reclaimed wood. Pretty incredible... right?

Now lets get back to the brother that makes those fabulous linen towels.

Made domestically in New York City from linens sourced from all over the world, Deck Towels, by designer Buck Ellison, are this summer's major must-have. 

Adventure calls! They are ideal for lazy afternoon picnics on the beach or napping on a soft grassy knoll (and who doesn't love napping on soft grassy knolls?). They add instant chicness when used as a tablecloth for an al fresco brunch or a family-style barbecue. 

Each linen Deck Towel measures 70x57" but can fold down to the size of an Ipad which makes them perfect for travel. They can also be used as beach or bath towels, bedspreads, shower curtains, window curtains, or couch throws. 

Buck founded his company back in 2010, a week before he graduated from Columbia University with a degree in visual arts and German literature. His original collection had only 6 styles that were all were sourced from Italian linen mills. Ever since his humble beginning just a few years ago, he has received loads of positive press from the likes of GQ, New York Times, Refinery 29, and Nylon Magazine, to name a few. 

And whats not to love? Buck has created a timeless staple that appeals to the masses. Not only are the towels absolutely gorgeous but they are extremely durable and can hold up to 20 times their weight in water. Added plus? They are machine washable.
