Day 116

Our mid-term exam took place today. 

mystery basket style. 

First we each pulled an ingredient scribbled on paper out of a ramekin. 

Next we each pulled a pass time scribbled on paper out of a ramekin. 

Depending on the time pulled, we each had between 1 hour and 1 hour 45 minutes to complete our dish.

It was all luck of the draw. 

I pulled "shiu mai wrappers" as my ingredient and 8:25 AM as my pass time. 

This left me approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes to create a dish using thin round wonton wrappers and whatever else I could scrounge up in our kitchen.  

my creation:

Pumpkin and Sage stuffed Wonton "Tortellini" and Asparagus.  Gorgonzola Cream Sauce.  Crispy Crab Meat, Powdered Sage, and Garlic Chips. 

Only 2 weeks left of school.  CANNOT believe it.
