Our very first olive harvest took place last weekend. My parents teamed up with a few of their friends that also had olive trees and combined for a joint day of pressing. 

Here are the facts: 

WHEN: Saturday, December 3, 2010
WHERE: Carmel, California 
OLIVE BLEND: 85% Mission (Spicy/peppery) from California 
and 15% Spanish Arbequina (mild)
MATURITY: Green / Veraison  
EQUIPMENT: Enorossi Oliomatic 700 Olive Mill via 
Olive to Bottle Mobile Milling and Bottling Services















The Results: 

Free Acidity : 0.04% = Extra Virgin Olive Oil (needs to be <.5%)

Peroxide Value: 4 meg/kg (needs to be <20)

Translation : REALLY High Quality Olive Oil!
