I am
so extremely fond of this placemat from
Anthropologie smartly named the "Short Cut Placemat" ($18). It comes in 4 different colored designs and is machine washable (huge plus!).

Another current Anthro obsession is the ever so delightful "Beast's Feast Bowl" ($78). This serving vessel is sort of comparable to that edgy-not-so-sure-but-maybe-if-I-am-in-the-right-mood-I-could-pull-it-off floral silk ruffled Marc Jacobs dress that sits in your closet waiting for the right occasion (no?...just me?). It takes a special person to pull this one off...it is just
so much more than a bowl. It is a culinary fashion statement that can aid in defining your culinary character. No kitchen is complete without a claw-footed serving piece. Really though, so necessary.
There is something so whimsical yet simplistic ( and humorous) about these two "finds" that I just love. So here I am ...sharing the love.
